Pilot License Alice Springs

Stage 1

The General Flying Progress Test (GFPT)
When you learn to fly in Alice Springs, the GFPT grants you the student pilot certain privileges. You will be licenced to fly as the pilot in command, both solo and with passengers in the local training and circuit areas and within 10 nautical miles of the airfield. This stage of getting your pilot license in Alice Springs takes a minimum of 20 hours of flight training. (This depends on your ability to learn new things).

Stage 2

Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
On completion of your PPL and earning your pilot license in Alice Springs, you will be authorised to fly solo and with passengers anywhere in Australia. This is on aircraft up to 5700kg. This stage takes a further 20-30 hours minimum (Again depending on you) You learn at your own pace through this period.
